ABOUT ME

I feel that we are exploring what human does to our being. The exploration takes us through infinite combinations of conditions and influences, both inner and outer. As a Life Coach, I provide clients an experience that is creative, non-judgmental, and fun in which to explore who they long to be. I also offer a background that encompasses broad interests and trainings in biology, anthropology, international health, vision questing, shamanism, and more.
From a biological perspective, I studied the disciplines of zoology and animal behavior in college and received a BS from Towson University. My curiosity continued to encompass the interplay of humans and society. I pursued classes in social and cultural anthropology and was ultimately able to combine this love with my love of biology for a Masters of Health Science degree in International Health from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Over the years I have also traveled extensively on my own to many parts of the world in order to experience other cultures firsthand as well as expand my sense of how interconnected we are in the world. Along with these worldly curiosities and trainings, I have also delved into a deeper spiritual curiosity about the nature of the soul. I have attended workshops, meditation retreats, shamanic journeys and classes, as well as three vision quest journeys; (one, into the canyon lands of Utah, and two into the vastness of the Sahara Desert). I recently completed a leadership training program in the majestic Atlas Mountains of Morocco. These are by no means an end to journeying, but the continuation of living intensely into life’s experiences.
Another training ground has contributed to experiencing the darker sides of self. As the director of a large epidemiological research study at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, I work with the consequences of drug addiction with the AIDS Linked to the IntraVenous Experience (ALIVE) Study. I am not fearful of the shadows and darkness of the soul. My encounters with my own shadows through shamanic and vision quest work has informed and guided me as I interact with men and women who live in the midst of drugs, crime, violence, and loneliness. To deepen my ability to help people, I have recently trained in Voice Dialogue, which is a technique that allows me to access and facilitate greater awareness of the various selves or sub personalities within a person.
As a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Certified Life Coach (CLC), I will creatively apply my unique combination of tools that are based in working with people from all walks of life and religious backgrounds, nature-based soul work, meditation, art, poetry, shamanism, and compassionate intuition to help clients dare to trust in and live from their deeper wisdom. The end results are clients who enthusiastically grow into who they long to be.
